Tanjung Sepat
9.10.10 Saturday

... Continue my previous post.

After visited to FGS Dong Zen Temple, we headed to Tanjung Sepat. Tanjung Sepat is primarily a fishing town. There aren't that many attractions in Tanjung Sepat. After all it's bout a small village.

However, there's a place that sell nice pau (steamed chinese bun). The shop that selling pau is called Hai Yew Heng. Is a small shop-lot ; visitors are able to see the process of making pau.
Mummy had ordered 200 paus from there before we come to Tanjung Sepat. She ordered only two flavour, which is mui-choy pau (salted-vege pau) and sang yuk pau (pork meat pau). Of course the paus are giving away for my relatives, neighbours and mummy's friends too. If not how could my family finish 200 paus in 2 weeks time?

100 salted-vege paus

they sell 6 different flavour : 豆沙(red bean),  加央(kaya),  花生(peanut),  生肉(pork meat),  菜(vegetables)  and   梅菜(salted vegetables)

After buying pau, its already evening time. We heard that Tanjung Sepat is famous for it's seafoods and Lover's Bridge. There's few seafood restaurant over Lover's Bridge. We don't know which restaurant seafoods are more delicious, so we just listened to a random aunty that selling stuff over there recommended us to one of the restaurant *I forgot the restaurant name*
Didn't manage to snap any photos of the food. For us, the food don't really taste good. Shouldn't listen to that aunty ; who knows maybe she has received money from the restaurant to ask people go there to eat =S

Head back to home after dinner :)

This is the Lover's Bridge
It looks like that, I don't know why it is called "Lover's Bridge" :)

FGS Dong Zen Temple
09.10.10 Saturday

Mummy decided to bring us for a half day trip to Tanjung Sepat (is a town in Kuala Langat district in Selangor) ; tagged along my mummy's friend and my two lil cousin . It's located near Banting, Sepang and Morib.

On the way to Tanjung Sepat, we stopped by at FGS Dong Zen Temple 东禅寺 in Jenjarom, Kuala Langat. This temple is regarded as one of the famous temples and also a landmark as well as a tourist attraction.
*FGS is a short form of ‘Fo Guang Shan’ 佛光山

the entrance of the temple ;
it feels really grand to be walking through the walkway and there’s a ‘Kuan Yin’ statue facing the entrance. At the side of the walkway is where you’ll find even more statues.

one of the statue over there

the small little monk statue so cute

There's also a small art gallery ;
those drawings hanging over is for sell. I think the money will be taken as donation for the temple.
Left side is mummy and her friend.

The main prayers hall is big and it looks nice due to the simplicity of it.
The prayers hall is even air-conditioned and I don’t think there are many other temples that would install air-conditioners in their prayers hall.

A gold incense burner - a large container for burning joss sticks

Big drum hanging outside the prayers hall

Be it for prayers or even just visiting the temple as a leisure, FGS Dong Zen Temple never really fails to attract other visitors.
Here is the Lumbini Garden with lot of nice flowers, a koi pond and man-made landscape.

Purple orchid

and I not sure whether is this orchid flowers too =S

Lastly, there’s also a really nice Buddha carvings outside of the multipurpose hall.

Time to leave to the second destination :)
